Om and Motion

Om-
My first exposure was in meditation , asking God how to meditate and Om was given. Thinking it was a new discovery meditating on Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent being in vibration with the universe later discovered this was practiced since the beginning. There are volumes of studies  on Om going back thousands of years as it was thought to be the first spoken word. It is the chant that leads me into meditation and brings unity and bliss. My devotion is Om the chant, and Our Father the prayer, from there whatever is on the heart and in mind.
My experience with Om is limited to meditation but it goes far beyond that. It actually is the chant practiced by some mystics to achieve awakening and unity. It states I am - awake. It was studied by the Greeks, the Egyptians, Himalayan holy men and many others to relate to one God. Now this may seem mystical and unrelated to Christianity but it is very real. Being aware of the greatness of God is very real toward awakening. Zechariah 4- And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, (then it goes on to reveal a vision and a prophesy about the coming Lord to be sold for 30 pieces of silver.) What is this awakening not from sleep or slumber but a realization , a word of knowledge , a prophecy. Here we are going about our daily lives thinking we are awake but are we? The prophet goes on to say not by might or by power but by my Spirit said the Lord. What is this spirit that awakens the soul - few will grasp.

Motion-
When water is still it is stagnant and becomes polluted. The mosquitoes  pests are attracted to these pools it often festers with disease. Water in motion is cleansed by the sand and the stones. It is clear and alive - living water. That is what belief is , whether it is the Hindu or the Buddhist, even the Christian without belief to set forth the motion cleansing cannot occur. Belief is so simple but few will grasp it.
How can someone belief in something beyond reality not visible. Actually what passes by our senses is not reality , we are not awakened. We sleep and dream, we awaken to another dream and finally we awaken again from the physical to a spiritual state. Some may say divine consciousness or enlightenment. It is this place where the holy men and prophets encounter angels or simply experience divine thoughts.

Living water is belief , it becomes in motion when it is taken to heart and shared.

Thought of the day: Is it better to spend the day fasting and not eat food, or spend the day feeding the hungry.

-peace.
Earl.
